Closeup releases statement re deaths at Forever Summer concert

A number of concert goers passed away early morning of Sunday during the Closeup Forever Summer event at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City.

On social media Sunday afternoon, Closeup released a statement confirming the news.

Although not giving out details, the company said that it extends its "deepest sympathies to the families of those who've passed away, and commit support in their time of bereavement."

It also added that the company is "now focused on supporting those needing medical assistance so they may fully recover."

Meanwhile, reports say the incident was due to drinks laced with drugs. Some concertgoers allegedly were able to bring drugs inside the concert grounds despite the stringent measures and precautions by the organizers.
